MOVUS named IMARC 2026 Innovation Award finalist for FitPower™

Australian-engineered technology aims to make energy performance more visible across individual industrial assets.

MOVUS has been named a finalist for the Mining Beacon Breakthrough Innovation Award at IMARC 2026 for FitPower™, it’s Australia-engineered asset-level energy intelligence technology. Sponsored by RFC Ambrian, the recognition marks the second consecutive year MOVUS has been recognized at IMARC, following its 2025 win for Ultra vSense.

MOVUS will unveil FitPower™ at IMARC 2026, held from 27-29 October at ICC Sydney, demonstrating how the technology uses externally mounted magnetic-field sensors to provide asset-level energy intelligence without conventional power-metering infrastructure, reducing deployment costs by up to 60%.

As mining and mineral processing operations face growing pressure to improve energy productivity, understanding how energy is consumed across individual assets remains a challenge. Traditional power-metering approaches can require significant infrastructure and installation investment, making it difficult to gain detailed visibility across an entire operation.

FitPower™ is designed to make that visibility a more accessible and scalable approach to identifying energy use, equipment runtime and inefficient loading. Integrated with the MOVUS PlantOS™ platform and prescriptive AI, the technology also creates future opportunities to connect energy performance with equipment condition and production data.

MOVUS CEO Sanjeev Kumar said the recognition reflects the company’s continued focus on practical innovation and the challenges facing industrial operations today.

“Being recognized as an IMARC Innovation Award finalist for the second consecutive year is a strong vote of confidence in the direction MOVUS is taking. Last year, Ultra vSense was recognized for advancing machine-health monitoring. This year, FitPower™ reflects our focus on another major industry challenge: making energy performance visible and actionable at the asset level.

“We’re excited to unveil the technology at IMARC and have conversations with the industry about how it can help improve energy productivity at scale.”

Conceived and engineered in Australia, FitPower™ has progressed through multiple hardware and engineering iterations into real pilot deployments across industry.

“For us innovation is about solving practical problems that mining operations face every day,” Kumar said. “To be shortlisted again reinforces the capability of our Australian product and engineering team and gives us confidence that we’re focusing on problems that matter to the industry.”

Kumar will also present “Beyond prediction: Turning asset intelligence into action” on Tuesday, 27 October, from 13:30 to 13:50 as part of IMARC’s Application of Technology program.

His presentation will explore how PlantOS™ uses prescriptive AI to move beyond detection and prediction, helping mining teams understand developing equipment issues, prioritise risk and determine what action to take next. Drawing on real-world industrial applications, Kumar will discuss how asset intelligence can support earlier intervention, smarter maintenance decisions and improved reliability and production performance.

Throughout IMARC 2026, visitors can meet the MOVUS team at Booth F09, directly across from the Engagement Lounge, to explore FitPower™ and PlantOS™ and discussing how energy intelligence and prescriptive AI could support mining and mineral processing operations.

Book a meeting with the MOVUS team at IMARC 2026 or visit Booth F09 to learn more about FitPower™ and see PlantOS™ in action.
