Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Reliability Engineer/Vibration Analyst to support Movus’ clients across the Food & beverage, mining, metals, and heavy industries in Australia. This is a field-based, client-facing role responsible for ensuring equipment reliability through expert vibration diagnostics, fault detection, and condition monitoring.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in rotating equipment, hands-on diagnostic skills, and a proactive approach to client engagement and root cause resolution.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with client teams to jointly diagnose machinery issues and recommend actionable solutions
  • Perform machine diagnostics to detect and categorise faults such as imbalance, misalignment, looseness, bearing damage, and resonance
  • Validate and enhance diagnostic reports generated by the Movus AI platform and Centre of Excellence (COE) team
  • Prepare and deliver clear, data-backed health reports with fault interpretation and maintenance guidance
  • Provide feedback to improve and validate auto-diagnostic algorithms, ensuring reliability and accuracy
  • Identify and support development of special applications or custom use cases for critical rotating equipment
  • Support online condition monitoring installations, calibration, and system
    health checks

Qualifications & Experience

  • Vibration Analyst Certification – Category II or higher
  • 6–8 years’ experience in vibration diagnostics and reliability engineering
  • In-depth knowledge of rotating equipment (pumps, motors, compressors, fans, gearboxes)
  • Experience with online condition monitoring systems, wireless sensors, or AI-based analytics tools
  • Exposure to RCFA, FMEA, and continuous improvement frameworks

We are seeking a technically strong and customer-facing Pre-Sales Solution Architect to lead solution design and technical engagement for AI-powered online condition monitoring projects. This role is critical in bridging client needs with our advanced predictive maintenance solutions powered by wired and wireless vibration sensors, edge computing, and cloud-based analytics.

The ideal candidate brings deep domain knowledge in vibration-based monitoring, practical experience with sensor deployments, and the ability to communicate complex solutions in simple, value-driven language.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with industrial clients (mining, metals, cement, power, manufacturing) to understand asset reliability challenges and define solution scope
  • Design end-to-end condition monitoring architectures using AI/ML platforms, vibration sensors (wired/wireless), gateways, and cloud dashboards
  • Conduct technical pre-sales meetings, plant surveys, and solution walkthroughs with maintenance and engineering teams
  • Prepare customized proposals, system architecture diagrams, BoMs, and integration plans
  • Demonstrate the value of Movus’ solutions through technical presentations, use cases, and ROI models
  • Collaborate with sales, product, and delivery teams to ensure technical accuracy and feasibility of proposed solutions
  • Provide input to solution pricing, timeline estimation, and pilot design
  • Stay updated on latest sensor technologies, standards (ISO 10816/20816), and AI-driven maintenance frameworks
  • Support solution deployment teams with technical guidance during POCs and go-lives

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or related field)
  • 10+ years of experience in condition monitoring, reliability, or predictive maintenance solutions
  • Strong understanding of vibration analysis, sensor types (accelerometers, velocity), and signal characteristics
  • Experience with wired and wireless sensor deployments, including installation planning, calibration, and data acquisition
  • Exposure to RCFA, FMEA, and continuous improvement frameworks
  • Exposure to AI/ML-based diagnostic tools or platforms in the asset reliability domain
  • Experience with digital twins, real-time dashboards, or prescriptive analytics
