MOVUS, a Brisbane-based industrial technology company delivering prescriptive AI for plant operations, has appointed Sanjeev Kumar as Chief Executive Officer to lead the company’s next phase of growth in asset reliability and industrial AI innovation.
Kumar succeeds Acting CEO Malcolm Schulstad, who will transition back to his role as Chief Operating Officer.
Kumar joins MOVUS from parent company Infinite Uptime, which acquired MOVUS in August 2025. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Business Head, ANZ at Infinite Uptime, where he led regional expansion across heavy industry sectors. His experience scaling industrial AI solutions across mining, energy, manufacturing, and ports will support MOVUS’s continued expansion into asset-intensive industries across Australia and the broader ANZ region.

Kumar will attend Total Plant Maintenance in Melbourne from March 16–18, where he will present “Prescriptive AI for Plant Operations: Maximising Throughput and Efficiency.” His session will explore why predictive maintenance alone often falls short and how prescriptive approaches support day-to-day operational decisions that improve throughput, reduce risk, and enhance sustainability.
