Our client, a global leader in fibercement manufacturing, operates in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines. They approached MOVUS to enhance machine reliability across their Asia-Pacific sites. Leveraging MOVUS’s FitMachine and AI technology, they aimed to implement a smarter, condition-based maintenance solution.

The client began their journey by installing the MOVUS FitMachine and Gateway solution at one of their production sites, targeting a range of assets including pumps and fans. Within two weeks, a baseline machine condition was established, providing the local maintenance team with 24/7 visibility of the asset’s condition via the MOVUS MachineCloud dashboard.

After six months of monitoring normal operations, anomalies were detected in one of their critical assets.

Fault Detected

During a regular project meeting, the client’s maintenance team and the MOVUS Customer Success team identified early signs of changing behaviour in one of the company’s critical assets, a Cellulose Dump Chest Agitator.

An early warning alerted the client’s team about the change in the agitator’s operation, allowing them enough time to perform an in-depth analysis of the anomaly using specialised Vibration Analysis and OEM maintenance.

In the AI Output chart, you can see a gradual increase in the overall condition (green line) over time due to a change in vibration compared to the baseline established.
